There’s a lot to learn about permaculture. Bill Mollison’s book Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual is 600 pages of ultra dense material from the co-founder himself. It’s also ultra dry. I’m not much of a book person. I don’t know how many books I’ve started that I genuinely liked, but just fell off reading. I’m definitely an audiobook guy.
With that said, I’m just getting back into Toby Hemingway’s book Gaia’s Garden after setting it down over a year ago. It’s very catered to the small scale homestead. Toby even talks about planting hedge rows to divert deer away from his garden!
One of the best FREE resources I’ve found has been permaculture.link/ Heather Jo Flores offers a year long course you can take once a week (or more if you’re aggressive) and it’s donation based. It’s great for learn at your own pace and at your own leisure folks such as myself.
